Some Questions for Ben

Question:
Why are you building your own cryptocurrency website?
Ben:
I am interested in crypto and I think this risk-directed index fund concept is a great place to start. The most pressing need that I have right now is probably one that others have too. I need the ability to put my trading on auto-pilot and for it to behave in the way that I would want. I don't want to manage rebalancing and go through the labor of manually trading or setting up a bunch of arbitrary weights on various cryptos.
Question:
Did you research any current systems, such as the ones that already perform rebalancing?
Ben:
Yeah, sure. But they don't use this novel approach that I am referring to. And they are generally bloated; I mean they are always just overly complex. Also, most software has a lot of bugs. I want to create a top-notch system with high quality from the ground up.
Question:
Okay then, what's so special about your method?
Ben:
For one thing, my site isn't going to suffer from increasing complexity. It begins with a very simple idea and it's going to stay that way. The investor knows better than anybody what level of risk they want to take and my mathematical algorithm accommodates that really nicely, while hiding all of the details from them.
Question:
What cryptocurrency exchanges are you using?
Ben:
Right now, it's just Binance.us. We will be going after more soon, such as Coinbase and Kraken.
Question:
How well does your system work? Has your team performed any backtesting?
Ben:
Oh yeah, that will be a lot of fun. We will perform backtesting at various levels of risk.
Question:
So you are using elog.com yourself right now, for your own real cryptocurrency?
Ben:
You bet. A lot of people ask me what I have my risk level set at. Because I am young, I can afford to set the risk at a pretty high level so I go at 67% on 35 cryptos. I like to play around with it though.
Question:
Your site says something about an energy consumption index or something like that?
Ben:
That is currently in the research stage. But yeah, I would like to create a cryptocurrency index that gives higher weight to crypto that makes efficient use of power consumption.
Question:
Why did you choose the name elog.com?
Ben:
It's short and easy to remember. The "e" can be for "electronic" like for email. It can also be for the exponential function and the "log" can be for the logarithmic function. It's just really mathematical so I like it. It also stands for "earth-log", for when we get our power consumption index going. Oh, it also means "electronic log", which is like a blockchain ledger.
